Frequently asked questions
Do you work with clients outside California?
Yes. We are based in Sacramento and most of our clients are elsewhere in the US. Work is done over video calls, a shared project board and a staging server you can log into any time.
Who owns the code?
You do. On final payment, all custom source code, designs and documentation are yours. Hosting accounts, domains and app store listings are created in your name from the start, not ours.
How does fixed pricing work if requirements change?
The written scope is the contract. If you want something added mid-project we quote it separately and you decide. Nothing is quietly absorbed into the bill and nothing is quietly dropped from the scope.
What if I already have a developer or an existing codebase?
We take over existing projects regularly. We start with a paid audit (usually $1,500–$3,000) that tells you what state the code is in, then quote the work from there.
How are payments structured?
Projects are billed per milestone — typically 30% to start, then on each delivered sprint or milestone. Support plans are billed monthly in advance. Bank transfer and major cards accepted.
Do you build with WordPress, Shopify or other platforms?
When they fit, yes, and we’ll say so if a platform would solve your problem cheaper than custom code. Our core work is custom applications where those platforms fall short.
Can we meet in person?
Yes, by appointment at our Sacramento office at 2108 N St Ste N.
